- Description:
Dress fasteners were used to secure and close jerkins, shirts and other lightweight items of clothing. This particular fastener was sewn onto the clothing using the two perforations. The hook was attached to an eye-loop on a corresponding fastener.
Dress fastener made on a sub-circular sheet of silver with an incised line design on one face. There are two punched perforations and a single hook.
