Description:

This book gives an account of the centenary celebrations in Dumfries, reprinted from the local newspaper the Dumfries and Galloway Standard.  It includes illustrations of places and people connected with Burns and Dumfries.  It is bound in black covers with gilt lettering on the front.

 

The centenary of Robert Burns death on 21 July 1896 saw national celebrations to mark his life and achievements.
