John Brown's Milkbowl

- This milkbowl belonged to the Covenanter John Brown. The hole and crack it bears were made by a musket ball shot at Brown by Claverhouse and his men. Brown was executed after dragoons discovered a cellar near his house containing treasonable papers, weapons and a hiding space large enough to accomodate several men.
