Exhibited at Royal Scottish Academy in 1936 whilst in army. After WW2 he lived in Dalbeattie and held first solo exhibition at Gracefield Gallery, Dumfries. Subjects mainly rustic scenes and several miniatures. Solo exhibition Mombasa, Kenya and illustrated number of works including "Game Birds of East Africa" and "Shotgun and Sunlight". Exhibited dry point etchings of african wildlife at the Greatorex Gallery. Exhibited portraits at RSA and Royal Academy.
