Description:

 

'Isle Eriskay, Outer Hebrides It is 1934.

 

The people's dwellings are still mostly of the traditional type which is rapidly disappearing-thatched huts with rounded ends, in which the smell of peat and herb-dyed wool, of net and line prevails.'
