Description:
The Stewart family at Newton Stewart. The cast iron kettle and cooking pot are on the camp fire, wicker hampers and a high-backed chair have been taken from the wagon, and a half-finished meal sits on a fold of oilcloth spread out on the ground.
McCormick called this view ‘Breakfast Time.’
