Ramblers at Craufurdland Castle

This image shows the Ramblers on an outing to Craufurdland Castle, near Fenwick. Craufurdland Castle has been the home to the Craufurd family since 1245, when the lands were acquired by the 2nd son of Sir Reginald de Craufurd. The keep was built around the 1300s, with later additions of the Laird's House in the 1600s. In the early to mid 1800s, the gothic facade to the castle was added along with other portions of the current castle including the library and drawing room.
