John Hunter and Archibald Dalziel

The partnership of Dalziel and Hunter was not represented in our collection until recently.   We have one object in our collection to illustrate Archibald's earlier partnership between 1770 - 1778 with his father James Dalziel . The purchase of this teaspoon broaden's our catalogue of marks, providing evidence of Archibald Dalziel's partnership with John Hunter,which went bankrupt in 1779 and add's to the discussion of their output.   We currently do not have any objects representing the work of John Hunter in our collection.
