Dutch onion bottle with sea battle scene
This large, glass Dutch spirit bottle with stopper dates to
the Dutch Golden Age in the 17th century. The 'onion bottle'
features a painted sea battle and athe portrait of a
man who is likely a celebrated Admiral on one side
of its body and a coat of arms with lion rampant and red cross on
the other.
