Bryden Family

Robert Bryden was born in Coylton, Ayrshire on 11th June 1865 and died at Lyndhurst, 14 Maybole Road, Belmont, Ayr on 22nd August 1939. Robert had two elder sisters Elizabeth and Margaret, and a younger brother Thomas.  Margaret, the younger sister, died in infancy. Elizabeth never married and was living with Robert in Ayr at the time of her death in 1909. At the time of Robert’s death, younger brother Thomas was staying with him. In this print Robert Bryden depicts himself, Elizabeth and Thomas and their parents.  This is dated 1909, the year of Elizabeth's death.
