Shield of Lord Saltoun

The Earl of Eglinton commissioned Samuel Pratt of No.47 Bond Street, London, to produce this shield and the others which would hang above the martial tents of the knights taking part in the Eglinton Tournament in 1839.   Lord Saltoun acted on the day as The Judge of Peace.
