A set of books given to Keir Hardie
These books were given to Hardie by Emmeline Pankhurst when he
embarked on his 1907 World Tour. Hardie was a supporter of
the women's suffrage movement.
The books are 'Felix Holt' and 'Essays' by George Elliot.
Pankhurst has inscribed the books "From EPG - F.K.H with sincerest
hopes for a happy voyage and a safe return, July 1907".
