Keir Hardie - 100 years on

Letter to Hardie regarding illness

Period:
20th Century
Description:

Letter from J. Bruce Glasier regarding Keir Hardie's illness to which he shows great concern.

"Dear Hardie,

The news in today's Leader that you have been ill was a great surprise and grief to me.  I had no thought when I wrote you last night at your Fleet St address that any illness lay upon you.

I hope, indeed, that by now you are greatly better and that you will soon be quite well again."
