The Grace The Duchess of Buccleuch and Queensberry
Her Grace the Duchess of Buccleuch and Queensberry is believed to
be Lady Lousia Jane Hamilton, who lived from 26th August
1836 to 16th March 1912. She was the daughter of James
Hamilton, the first Duke of Abercorn. She married the
6th Duke of Buccleuch and 8th Duke of
Queensbury. She was the Mistress of the Robes for the Coronation of
King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra. As Mistress of the Robes, she
was responsible for the Queen's clothes and jewellery.
