Princess Mary's Tobacco Box with Portrait Card and Pencil

This is an example of the tobacco tin that was presented as a gift to all men in the British Empire wearing the King's uniform on Christmas Day, 1914 from H.R.H. The Princess Mary.   Along with a bag of tobacco and a pipe, the tin contained a portrait of the Princess and a small card similar to the one pictured here. They were distibuted to 2, 321, 553 service men and women by The Princess Mary's Sailors' and Soldiers' Christmas Fund.
