Beige leather gloves

Description:

Pair of ladies beige fine leather gloves, worn around the 1930s. Leather gloves have been worn by people for thousands of years, as they allow for a comfortable fit and good grip for the wearer. Since the 14th century, gloves have been a popular fashion choice for all genders, but particularly for women. In the Victorian and Edwardian era, the material and fit of gloves denote social status in the public realm, and they became important objects that hinted towards the wearer's wealth. In the 1930s, when this object was likely made and worn, they were beginning to decrease in popularity due to changing trends.

Nowadays, however, they are less common for everyday wear, and people only tend to wear gloves in cold weather rather than all year round as a fashion accessory.
