Coat dress

Description:
This brown coat dress has a round collar and is simply decorated with contrasting dark brown silk ribbons and buttons.  It is fastened with hook and eyes from the hip up.  The bodice is lined with soft cotton; the hem, coat tails and cuffs are stiffened with starched muslin.  During its lifetime, this garment has been altered to make it smaller.
