Burgh of Cumnock & Holmhead Roll of Provosts

This framed certificate lists all the Provosts of the Burgh of Cumnock and Holmhead between the years 1866 and 1975. The two longest serving Provosts were William Dalgleish, who was Provost for 12 years from 1866 to 1878, and Nan Hardie Hughes, daughter of Keir Hardie, who also served for 12 years from 1935 to 1947.
