Ladies Ticket for Laying the Memorial Stone at The New Kilmarnock Academy

Ladies ticket for the ceremonial laying of Kilmarnock Academy's memorial stone. The memorial stone was laid with Masonic honours on Saturday 20th November, 1875,  by R. W. Cochran-Patrick, Esq. who was the Depute Provincial Grand Master of Ayrshire.    The ceremony attracted great interest in the town and large crowds gathered to witness the event. In front of the school, a large platform was built to accommodate ladies, while men were directed to a platform at the summit of the building.
