Rowly Powly Curling Club Rink Medal

Maker's mark: "DG" (in both small and large sizes) Dumfries town marks: fouled anchor, unicorn's head Other marks: "G", "K" The inscription reads, "Rink medal of the Rowly Powly Curling Club, 14th January 1833."   Several curling clubs existed in Dumfries in the early 18th century.  Their medals were generally made by local silversmiths.
