Other Sports
As well as all the other, well documented, sports such as
Horseracing, Curling and Golf, the South West of Scotland has had a
fine tradition in other types of Sport, boasting Champions and
Olympic Medal winners in fields as diverse as athletics and
motorsport. Sport though is not only a professional pursuit and
many towns and villages have held annual championships and
competitions in just about every sport that you can care to think
of.
