Bon Bon Alley

This is a piece from the collection of work Howson produced when working as an Official War Artist in Bosnia. Bob Bon Alley depicts a scene that would occur on roads where convoys were slowed down by potholes. Bosnian children would swarm around the vehicles calling out "Bon Bon?" in the hope that the soldiers would, as they sometime did, throw sweets.
