John Wilson's Printing Office

John Wilson's printing office was located in the Star Inn Close off Waterloo Street in Kilmarnock.   As the place where the first edition of Burns' Poems was printed it has attracted the attention of many artists interested in recording Kilmarnock's historical past.   Thomas Smellie's printed this sketch in his book Sketches of Old Kilmarnock which features 40 of the historical and significant sites around the town.
