Large glass tumbler engraved with thistles and Robert Burns' own crest on the front, with provenance on the back. The glass has its own customised wooden box.

 

Inscription:

'This Glass once the property of / ROBERT BURNS / Was presented by the POET'S WIDOW / To James Robinson Esqr / And given by his / WIDOW / To her Son in law / MAJOR JAMES GLENCAIRN BURNS / 1840'
