Holograph Copy of 'The Whistle'

Manuscript poem in the handwriting of Robert Burns, written on both sides of two joined sheets, bearing the official Excise stamp. Authentication note by Robert Burns, son of the poet, is attached to the bottom of the sheet. The poem "The Whistle" refers to a drinking competition at Friars Carse House and was composed during the time the poet lived at Ellisland.
