Pair of Children's Shoes
These child's shoes were made by John Davidson who was the
village souter (shoemaker) of Kirkoswald in the late 18th century.
Davidson was the original "Souter Johnnie" on whom Robert Burns
based his famous character in Tam O' Shanter.
