Poems, Chiefly in the Scottish Dialect, by Robert Burns, in 2 volumes. Edinburgh: printed by Adam Neill & Co. for T. Cadell jun. and W. Davies, London; W. Creech, Edinburgh. 1800. New edition, considerably enlarged.

 

Binding: Twentieth-century binding. Green cloth on board; title, volume and date in gold on spine; thick cream wove end-papers; beige laid paper, unevenly cut.

 

Marks: Embossed "Burns Monument Kilmarnock", on the title page of volume 1.

 

Inscription: "Mr Tho. Chapman 18-", on a front page, volume 1.

 

Volume 2 was purchased at the Craibe Angus Sale.
