Binding: marbled paper and black leather on board; tooled decoration; contrast leather on the spine; title, date, volume, and place in gold on the spine; cream wove end-papers; cream wove papers, rough-cut.


Marks: Embossed "Burns Monument Kilmarnock", on the title pages of both volumes. James McKie private library numbers "175" & "176".
