Binding: Brown leather on board; gold decoration on covers, spine and along inside edge of the covers; title, volume, date on the spine; blue marbled end-papers; cream wove paper with marbled edges.


Marks: Embossed "Burns Monument Kilmarnock" on the title pages of all volumes. James McKie private library numbers "105", "106" & "107". Volume 1 has a bookseller sticker: "Jas.M'Cormick, Bookseller & Binder | 15 Essex-Quay… Books bought..."
