Description: The Tales of my Grandmother (no title page). By Archibald Crawford, Ayr. Only a few copies were issued in this form. The book was withdrawn by arrangement with Constable, and issued in two volumes in 1825.  At page 217, "The Birth of the Bard". At page 243 "The Sybil's Son". 1824   Binding: Hardbound. Half leather binding with marbled boards. Decorative tooling and title in gold inlay on the spine.       Marks: Comments written in pencil on front endpaper (not McKie), along with "Agnes Crawford, High Street, Ayr" in black ink. "Burns Monument Kilmarnock" embossed on title page. Title, date and location also pencilled on title page.
