Sketches of Scottish Castles from John Smith's Notebook

John Smith made sketches of a number of castles in his notebook. Seen here are Newark Castle near Ayr, Kilhenzie Castle near Maybole, Greenan Castle near Ayr, Dunure Castle which overlooks Ayr Bay and Blairstone House at Auchindrain.   The second page (which can be seen by clicking on the thumbnail underneath 'Alternative View') shows Pinwherry Castle and Kirkhill Castle in South Ayrshire, Dalquharran Castle, Loch Doon Castle, Ardstinchar Castle at Ballantrae and Craigneil Castle.
