Magnifying Glass with Tripod Base

Andrew Sinclair, President of the Glenfield Ramblers from 1887 - 1891, was a brass-finisher and it is believed that he made the tripod base for this magnifying glass.  He presumably tailored it precisely to his own use for studying, cutting and engraving agates and other precious stones.
