Copy extract from the Books of Parliament of the King's approbation of Lord Boyd's proceedings by gift made to him of the Regency.  It has been made under the Great Seal of Scotland.  This document stating Jame III's consent to Lord Boyd's Regency was later revoked as it was argued the young King gave his permission under duress.
