Optics of the Cassegrain Telescope

Robert Waland retired from the Steward Observatory at the University of Arizona in 1980.  He spent the next few years completing this book which sums up his years in optical engineering.  He describes the design process, including the grinding, polishing and handling of the mirror itself.  It was published in 1990.
