Description:

Illustrated edition of an autobiographical novel by Sir J M Barrie, including 71 black and white photographs taken c1890s, and some line engravings.  It is bound with green cloth, and has gilt lettering on the cover and spine.

 

This is the author's own copy of his autobiographical novel, illustrated with original photographs of Kirriemuir by Clifton Johnson.  The book was published with Barrie's hearty consent and approval according to Johnson. 

 

It was sold at an Elkin Mathews Sale in February 1938 (part of Catalogue No 34), a few months after the author's death.
