Flake from a stone axe, Luce Sands

Description:

A large flake or fragment from a polished stone axe.  A number of axe flakes have been found on the sand dunes at Luce Sands.  They may be waste from reworking broken axes.  Alternatively these flakes could be from the deliberate destruction of stone axes as part of some ritual.
