Shield of Sir Charles Montolieu Lamb, Knight Marshal of the Lists.

Description:
The Earl of Eglinton commissioned Samuel Pratt of No.47 Bond Street, London, to produce this shield and the others which would hang above the martial tents of the knights and officials taking part in the Eglinton Tournament in 1839.  Sir Charles Lamb was the Earl's step-father and refereed the jousts as Knight Marshal of the Lists.
