The title of this exhibition is derived from one of Games's personal mottos - Maximum Meaning Minimum Means, a philosophy which he applied in his graphic images that featured on posters, stamps and advertising campaigns.
His bold, colourful and stylised graphic designs were seen throughout Britain and beyond, due to his work with well-established clients, including the Financial Times, Penguin Books, Guinness, British Airways and London Transport to name a few.
During his career, which spanned 6 decades, Games was chosen as the official War Poster Designer of World War II, was appointed as a Royal Designer for Industry and created work for the Queen. He was awarded an OBE in 1958.
We will also be exhibiting some of Games' inventions, which include the Cona Coffee maker and portable paper copier.
